Na próxima sexta-feira (cinco de fevereiro), encerrando sua participação no Verão Arte Contemporânea 2010, o Duelo de MCs apresenta uma noite dedicada ao Graffiti. Resgatando o início da cultura urbana de Belo-Horizonte, a Família de Rua convida quatro artistas da primeira geração de grafiteiros da cidade para colorir as pilastras do Viaduto Santa Tereza. São eles: Ângelo, Gin, GMC e VMD.
A outra surpresa da noite fica por conta de um concurso de Tag Digital, realizado pela primeira vez em Belo Horizonte. Em parceria com a Família de Rua, o Graffiti Lab Brasil, associado com o Projeto Gambiologia, apresenta o concurso baseado na mais tradicional e simples forma de assinatura dos artistas do Graffiti. Realizado geralmente com apenas uma cor, em alto contraste com o fundo e com traçado rápido, o Tag é a marca registrada do grafiteiro, que geralmente acompanha qualquer trabalho.
Para o concurso, o Graffiti Lab Brasil lançará um case construído especialmente para a performance, customizado integralmente de acordo com a estética gambiológica com inspiração em quiosques de fotógrafos lambe-lambes. O produto, batizado provisoriamente de MalaTag, contém todo o equipamento necessário para execução do software Graffiti Analysis, que digitaliza os Tags e envia para um servidor na internet, possibilitando a reprodução online dos traçados e, posteriormente, a enquete que escolherá o melhor Tag da noite.
Na ocasião, o palco do Viaduto Santa Tereza ainda recebe o Duelo de MCs Tradicional, quando MCs se enfrentam em rouds de 45 segundos, e roda livre de dança, com espaço aberto para os diversos estilos das danças urbanas.
